Parking
Parking in SSU lots is $5.00 at all times. Permits may be purchased from the vending machines located at the entrance to parking lots, or at the north and south entrance information booths when available. School buses may drop passengers in the driveway loading areas, then proceed to park FREE in Lot N, near the Green Music Center. For further information see Parking Services.
Directions to Sonoma State University and Main Venues
The main entrance to Sonoma State University is located at 1801 E. Cotati Ave. in Rohnert Park.
If you are taking the 101 Freeway, take the Rohnert Park Expressway exit. Go east on Rohnert Park Expressway. From there take a right on Snyder Lane, then a left on East Cotati Avenue. Go past the light, Sonoma State will be the next available Left.
If you are traveling via Petaluma Hill Rd, take a right (if coming from Santa Rosa) or a left, (if coming from Petaluma), onto East Cotati Ave. The main entrance will be your next right. There is a large wooden sign saying Sonoma State University.
To Evert B. Person Theatre
Enter the university through the main entrance. The box office is located at the top of the stairs in the Evert B. Person Theatre, which is the biggest building you see when you enter the campus. Parking is just east of the Theatre (right) in Parking Lots E & F, if you turn right on the street in front of the theatre.
To the Department office, Ives 119, and Warren Auditorium
Ives Hall 119 and Warren Auditorium are both located in Ives Hall. From the main entrance of the university take a right as you enter. The main lot will be located to your left (Lot E). Ives Hall faces this parking lot. The ticket booth for Warren and Ives 119 is located on the first floor (up the stairs) in the center of the far hallway. The department office is located at the top of the staircase and is the only set of offices on the second floor.
To Ives 76
Ives 76 is located in Ives Hall. From the main entrance, take a right as you enter the university. The main lot (Lot E) will be located to your left. Ives Hall faces this parking lot. Take the right set of stairs leading down into the basement of Ives. Take and immediate right, the left down the first hall. At the end of the hall on the right, is Ives 76.
To Green Music Center
Green Music Center is located at the north entrance to campus, off Rohnert Park Expressway and just west of Petaluma Hill Road.
The Green Music Center complex includes Weill Hall (home of the Santa Rosa Symphony), Music Education Hall, Prelude restaurant, and Schroeder Hall. Use Parking Lot O for the GMC Concert Hall. Weill Hall is the large hall located by the box office on the plaza. For Schroeder Hall, enter the GMC complex via the staircase facing the parking lot
To PE 1
PE 1 is located in the Kinesiology building on campus. From the main entrance, take an immediate right. Follow this road around the big curve, past the fountain and turn left immediately after the pool. The parking lot will be on you right. This Kinesiology building faces this parking lot. Go through the double doors and take a right to the end of the hall. PE 1 will be on your right.
